Thank you for trusting TAS Auto Wrecker as your source for quality used car parts in Australia. We stand behind the performance of our tested second-hand auto parts and are committed to providing a fair and transparent warranty policy for your peace of mind.

✅ 1. General Warranty Coverage

We offer a 7-day startup warranty on most used auto parts, effective from the date of purchase as stated on your invoice or receipt.

What's Covered:

  • 🧩 The part is guaranteed to be in working condition upon proper installation

  • 🔁 If the part fails within 7 days due to internal fault, we offer a full refund of the product cost   

🚫 2. Warranty Limitations

Our warranty strictly covers the cost of the used part only. It does not include:

  • Labor or mechanic charges

  • Installation costs

  • Towing or transportation fees

  • Diagnostic or testing fees

  • Loss of use, time, or convenience

Your warranty will be voided if the part is:

  • ❌ Installed incorrectly

  • ❌ Misused, abused, or modified

  • ❌ Involved in an accident post-sale

  • ❌ Used in racing, off-road, or high-performance setups

We are not responsible for incidental or consequential damages (e.g., downtime, lost wages, extra expenses).

🛠️ 3. Engine Warranty – 60-Day Parts-Only

All used engines sold by TAS Auto Wrecker come with a 60-day limited parts-only warranty.

Warranty Conditions:

  • Engine must be installed by a licensed mechanic

  • Use manufacturer-specified or equivalent engine oil

Important:

Accessories attached to the engine (alternator, turbo, sensors, manifolds, etc.) are left for convenience/testing only and are not covered.

To maintain warranty coverage, we strongly recommend replacing:

  • Radiator

  • Water pump

  • Thermostat

  • Timing belt/chain

  • EGR valve

  • Oil cooler

  • Crankshaft and camshaft seals

  • Front/rear main seals

⚠️ Oil or coolant leaks caused by failure to replace these components will void the engine warranty.

⚙️ 4. Transmission Warranty

All used automatic and manual transmissions come with a 7-day startup warranty.

Not Covered:

  • External or internal seals and gaskets

  • Installation errors

  • Transmission fluid-related failures

📝 5. Warranty Claim Process

To file a used parts warranty claim:

  1. 📞 Contact us within the applicable warranty period

  2. 📄 Provide your original proof of purchase (invoice or receipt)

  3. 📦 You may be required to return the faulty part for inspection

Once verified, we will issue a refund or exchange, depending on product availability and approval.

❌ 6. Exclusions – What’s Not Covered

No warranty is provided for:

  • Items sold “as-is,” “non-returnable,” or “for parts only”

  • Parts with limited warranty labels

  • Damage caused by installation in vehicles used for racing or off-roading

  • Electrical items once installed

TAS Auto Wrecker reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. All updates will be posted on our official website and/or communicated via customer service channels.
